installer image voting

hi all,

on the developer list we had a discussion about the look of the current installer without coming to a conclusion really.

a screenshot of four alternative designs, differing by the graphic on the left side.

you are hereby asked to
- vote on favorite design, maybe giving some reasoning
or
- send in one of your own, if you feel up to it. fonts and logo artwork are available on

I vote for the one on the right below. No reason: the Kangaroo doesn't climbe nor fly on a map or it is (poor man) alone and isolated in the top

Hello,

my vote is for the top left image.

Reason: It seems to be the originally logo...no altered logo, except that it is turned. I think it is important not to change the logo.

This is an instalation window, so, it can have more than a simple logo to look during the process... :)

+1 for the lower right image with vertical layout. Well balanced color and space filling, close enough to original (not seen as a different logo, just a different layout). I thing letters could have been slightly bigger to have the same proportion and inter-letters as the original.

Hi all,

first of all thanks Ede for the job and the efforts you make for this work.

As I wrote, I vote the lower right one as first choice.

I will vote to the lower left as second choice. But I suggest to have a more detailed map and to evoid to have Kangaroo on the top as it looks like "flying" on the map
