Wow.
You know, I was hardly happy to see that a lot of the detail
had been lost from the office expenditure reports, and certainly said so quite
vocally, but I'm not sure this is on the order of "flooding the swamp," and I
think it's one of those issues that Washington insiders put far more emphasis on
than anyone else.
While some embarrassment may have been saved by members who rent luxury
cars or buy flat screen TVs, I think that pales in comparison to, let's say, the
number of members who have investigations pending before the House Ethics
Committee.

silly thing to do? Yes. Something that could
have been avoided? Yes. A huge scandal that floods the
swamp?
Uh, not exactly.
