How can I get an API key?

Hi,

Please visit https://www.opendining.net/user/register to create your account.  Once you've created your account and verified your e-mail address, use the "My Account" link in the upper-right hand corner to generate your API key.

Please let me know if you have any other issues.

I tried to register, however when I tried to confirm using the
confirmation url, I got an 'Invalid Key' reply.

Hi,

I tried to call the following API:
http://api.opendining.net/search/restaurants?key=[my newly generated
key]

For some reason my API key is not accepted and I get an 'Invalid or
missing API key" error.

Sorry about that; evidently our system hates you!

Kidding; anyway, it will actually work for you now.  We just began using the new API key system, and our old key validation was marking yours as invalid.

Lat and lon are required, which is why it's not accepting your request.  Check out the API docs for full details: http://www.opendining.net/developers/api/search/

Now that we're sitting down to write our scripts for interfacing with Open Dining we realized we don't have an API key, and the method for generating one as outlined here no longer works.

Could you contact Michael or myself to set us up with an API key?
