Since OpenCog was founded, GSoC has been an extremely productive time
for us. We get a great community of people working on challenging
problems, and the IRC room and discussion lists are more active than
ever. GSoC is a very important part of OpenCog's growth and
improvement. We appreciate both Google's sponsorship and the student's
involved for their hard work.
We are currently in the process of putting together OpenCog's
application to be included for another year. We've proved we can
successfully be part of the GSoC program but we can't rest on our
laurels. We need to improve the Ideas wiki page:
http://www.opencog.org/wiki/Ideas
Some projects have already been done in previous years, and while the
projects themselves may still be relevant, they need to be updated to
make the connection with what's already been done.
So, I implore you to take 10-30 minutes to proof-read, tidy up, and
update the Ideas wikipage. Note, we don't need any new ideas added at
this stage, but feel free to bring up new ideas on the OpenCog mailing
list.
Thanks for any time you can spare,
