Subject: sound control

Hi, I am not able to hear sound after loading a sound file for point or ambient sound.

When looking to the General Preferences "mute" checkbox, I see it allways checked, regardless if I turn sound on or off.

I uncheck the "mute" control, and when returning to the dialog, I find it checked on back.

Is sound control overriden elsewhere?

BTW the fanfarre is heard well, every time I load OC, so no issue with the OS and off-Cobalt sound control.

Regards, Carlos

Hi!

Do you have the OpenAL Audio Library installed ? If not so, OC won't
sound.

Cheers...

indeed, installing the latest openal from openal.org solved the issue, i
was in the belief that the sole openal32.dll present was enough, thanks
Thomas!
