Thanks for offering to help. It's actually quite easy--simply create an
account on the wiki and you can start contirbuting right away. Also if there
are areas where you'd like to see specific documentation but don't have the
time to do it yourself, people telling us specific areas they see as needing

I've recently had the chance to start playing with OpenBD. A long time
user of CFML technologies, both from New Atlanta and Adobe, I
personally am finding the OpenBD movement quite exciting!!!
I noticed the documentation side of things were moving forward, but
still lacking quite a bit of content. Not to criticize by an means,

Vince offered a workaround in the previously in thread:
I haven't tried it myself, but you should be able to use:
<cfset CreateObject("java",
"com.google.appengine.api.data store.Text").init() />
To get a GAE datastore text object.

I changed the mapping from "cfcdoc" to "/cfcdoc" and it worked.
Looking the CF9 admin prepends the "/" if you don't have one. Not a
big deal but it would be nice if openbd did the same thing.

I just noticed the "verify mapping" link on the mappings. When I
click that in openbd I get "The logical path specified is not
accessible. Please verify that the directory exists and has the
correct permissions." I have the mapping set to C:\tomcat\webapps
\openbd\wwwroot\cfcdoc. But it seems I get that error when I try

I'm setting up a development environment that will allow me to run multiple
CF engines against a single code base. I'm on Windows 7 and I have installed
Tomcat at c:\tomcat. I have deployed CF8, CF9 and OpenBD as .war files into
Tomcat. In order to run a single code base, I have the .cfm files in a
folder outside of Tomcat at d:\wwwroot\ Within the webroot of each CF

Ok.. at least i know now. I was thinking everything copied over as is and
worked out the box, since it mostly did. So when this broke, I thought maybe
something changed in the versions.

Glad you got that fixed. Depending on how you did your upgrade you probably
got a new web.xml file, and since that isn't in there by default it would
make sense you had to add it again.

I think we'd have to see the actual code or get more details to help you
figure out why it's failing now. Are you using a custom 404 error or how
specifically is your script getting triggered?
Did anything else with your configuration change, like your web server or
servlet container virutal host configuration?
