Afternoon all,

geo2gov.com.au has some new features including:

- returning a list of foreign keys for members - both OA and mymp id's.
- a link to the ABS quickstats page for the supplied address (on the
HTML version).

The first feature now makes possible integration between geo2gov and OA.

Over the longer term we would like to work towards a common key for
people and members that can be used across all the services out there
(OA, mymp, myreps, tweetmp, etc) but right now we want to provide
tools that people can use.

Hopefully the community finds this useful.

geo2gov continues to grow as the geographic search engine for
Australian Gov2.0 apps with more data/features planned. If you have
an idea, a dataset or an end use please let us know.

Check it out here - http://geo2gov.com.au - or the JSON interface here
- http://geo2gov.com.au/json?location=

Cheers

Jeffery

This is good..

I would be interested to know what arrangements are in place for
replication across these systems to be maintained? especially given the
manual nature of some of the openaus datasets..

Hey Jeffery

We used to be able drill down the response to get division info about the local council from geo2gov (for use on http://its-buggered-mate.apps.lpmodules.com ), since the change around Nov 24th it doesn't seem to contain that data in the feed any more.

Is there some other way to look that up?

(love what you've done getting the data out there through geo2gov BTW!)

Cheers

Julian

I believe this might actually be a bug. I switched to a new common
response generator between the HTML and JSON versions, and it looks
like the JSON one wasn't picking up the new version.

I've just pushed a new update (code only, there's no new data changes)
to the site which resolves that problem.

Can you take a look at the output you are getting now, and let me know
if you still see the problem?
