This might be of interest to people on this list

We (OpenAustralia Foundation) applied to them year before last but
weren't successful.

Subject: [Keepintouch] auDA Foundation Opens 2012 Funding Round
To: keepi...@lists.audafoundation.org.au

The auDA Foundation is now accepting applications for grants in the
2012 funding round

The auDA Foundation Board is keen to receive applications that will
utilise the power of the internet to deliver practical outcomes
through innovative means that will deliver a benefit to the Australian
community.

The last funding round provided grants for worthy projects such as the
provision of a cross-cultural web interface for Australian Indigenous
Internet users and an online system for interactive music therapy
performance experiences for young Australians with Down Syndrome in
urban and remote locations .

As an outcome of the recent review of the auDA Foundation, there are a
number of changes that have been implemented to this Funding Round
including:

·        allowing for consideration of 3 year PhD student funding,

·        increasing the top range of what the Foundation typically
offers to $25,000, and

·        a 2 step application process.

auDA Foundation rules and grant application details

Eligible applicants include Australian not-for-profit organisations,
research institutions and university students but projects must not be
for political, religious or sectarian purposes.

Not-for-profit subsidiaries of Australian businesses will also be eligible.

Applications for an auDA Foundation grant will only be accepted if a
complete application is received on or before 5.00pm AEST on the 25th
May, 2012.

Did they say why OA was unsuccessful last year?
Do you think it is seen as political, in the wrong sense?

Regards

No. We helpfully never received any feedback from them. Furthermore,
they specifically lay out in the application process that they will
never provide any feedback.

They told us they really wanted us to apply again but still would not
give us any feedback on our previous application.

Helpful, huh?
