I have an elementary school that wants to give every student their own username. They are using the asus 1005ha netbooks with the open 1to1 image. I remember hearing that the image can be tweaked so that the wireless will connect before logon. Is there anything that needs to be done to get them to join a domain? Can anyone help steer me in the correct direction. We will be using resara comunity server as the Domain Controller. Thanks

I'd take a look at PowerBroker Identity Services, formally Likewise-open. The major issue I had with Likewise 6 was a short credential cache. Instead of weeks or months like a normal windows device the cache would expire in days thus locking you out. Not exactly a good idea considering school schedules include vacations. I haven't tested PowerBroker but I assume it is the same as Likewise6 since their enterprise features include "Long Term Credential Cache".
