At long last the OWF Wiki lives!

http://wiki.openwebfoundation.org/

A few pages that beg for better copy, probably sooner rather than
later...

http://wiki.openwebfoundation.org/index.php/Open_Web_Foundation:Privacy_policy
http://wiki.openwebfoundation.org/index.php/Open_Web_Foundation:About
http://wiki.openwebfoundation.org/index.php/Open_Web_Foundation:General_disclaimer

The site is set up with a CC 3.0 Attribution Share alike. Let me know
if this needs to be changed.

Thanks,
Nate

This is great! Thanks Nate for setting this up. Very much appreciated.

Would it be possible to eliminate the inner /index.php/ from the URLs
so we could have shorter URLs like:

http://wiki.openwebfoundation.org/Open_Web_Foundation:Privacy_policy

http://wiki.openwebfoundation.org/Open_Web_Foundation:About

Or if there must be something there in that URL segment, perhaps
re-use the /wiki/ convention like other media wiki installs (e.g.
wiki.whatwg.org/wiki/ , microformats.org/wiki/ )

A CC license is fine, but I strongly prefer a public domain / CC0
license, and I appreciate that may be a larger orthogonal discussion.

For the moment, I've created an opt-in public domain license template
on the wiki, and encourage others to create user account pages with
the public domain template as well:

http://wiki.openwebfoundation.org/index.php/Category:Public_domain_license

Thanks again for all the hard work Nate - this will help a lot with
getting content off of the mailing list in the wiki where it is easier
to find, cite, and version.

Tantek/All,

I've got the Wiki set up with the /wiki/ convention now.

I've also switched to Creative Commons Attribution 3.0

Cheers,
Nate

Thanks, I definitely support the normal CC-by license and think that it is a good fit as we'd want people to attribute our policies, guides, etc to OWF.

Is there a way to remove even "wiki" from the URL?  So that http://wiki.openwebfoundation.org/wiki/Main_Page turns into http://wiki.openwebfoundation.org/Main_Page?

Thanks for getting this up and running. Now that we have the tool, are
there any best practices we should be thinking about for its use?

I too prefer a CC0 waiver or a public domain dedication.
