Request to the COC for OSM board term extensions

Dear Community Oversight Committee (COC) members,

According to our statutes it is the function of the COC to appoint and remove board members. It is also fitting that OSM express its wishes to the COC regarding these matters. The OSM nomination and election process guidelines, including term extensions, can be viewed here: http://community.joomla.org/blogs/leadership/1331-osm-nomination-and-election-process.html.

The board of Open Source Matters requests that the COC extend the terms of the following board members whose terms are ending, to allow for continuity as well as retaining their essential skills:

Robert Deutz

Javier Gomez

Jacques Rentzke

We would appreciate a response prior to our next board meeting, which is  scheduled for February 21st.
