Hi Pei,

I have not had a chance to read the your new book yet, but I want to ask: do you think the NARS theory is mature enough to apply it to the implementation of a General Game Player agent?

I think this would be a goos case study. This is a project I'm interested for quite some time, but I decided to postpone it due to your announcement of the new book.

My main concern is the time management factor, as I'm don't fully understand the NARS temporal logic yet and I would like to let NARS handle as much tasks as possible.

Hi Acilio,

The existing NARS code is not mature enough for any practical application. Even when it becomes "matured" according to the developing plan, it will probably not to be directly used for a given application --- when the goal is to solve a specific problem, it is always better (simpler and more efficient) to build a special-purpose system than using a general-purpose system. Even though General Game Playing is "general-purpose" in the game playing context, it is still "special purpose" in the AGI context.

I think a more fruitful and feasible approach is to use some of the ideas in the NARS model in the design of a GGP. You may want to start from http://www.degruyter.com/view/j/jagi.2012.3.issue-3/v10229-011-0021-5/v10229-011-0021-5.xml?format=INT
