Thanks to Peter's help, we've got a buildbot up, running and (mostly)
passing tests : http://buildbot.openlighting.org/

Now it's time to add build slaves so we can detect build problems and
test regressions. If you'd like to host a build slave please reply
with the platform & os type and we can generate a password. The
instructions on setting up a slave are at
http://www.opendmx.net/index.php/OLA_Buildbot .

There are some flaky tests I still need to fix but we're getting there.

I've got a VM waiting for you. (2 cores, 1G ram allocated, not much, but something)

You can pick the OS.

If anyone has a gentoo or RHEL / Fedora instance that would be helpful.

Hi Simon,

I've got several Gentoo-machines around, some of them ARM (RaspberryPi,
BeagleBoard xM, ODROID-U2). However, none of these has an external
static IP address. Do DynDNS hostnames work as well?

As soon as my server is setup completely, I can set up a virtual machine
for this task.

The buildbot-slave initiates all communications with the master, so provided it can reach the internet, theres no need for it to have a real IP address. It goes through NAT and stuff just fine, and there is no need for even a host-name.

Thanks, that would be helpful. Let me know when it's up and I'll
create an account.

The ODROID is basically running fine now (I needed to do some updates).
Please create an accound for it so I can set up the connection to the
master.

I don't know yet if I can run it 24/7 but as I said a new server is on
the way (x86 though) that can be used then, too.

Basic Javascript linting is now in place; it's up and running on my Pi, but if some other people want to get it setup on their boxes, so they can join the pool of JS linters that would be good. Just follow the instructions here:
http://www.opendmx.net/index.php/OLA_Buildbot#Enabling_the_Javascript_Lint_Checker

And then let Simon know so he can enable it on your slave.
