Announcing Appify for local apps - add your app now

Greetings open government peoples and local app developers,

I'm excited to share with you a new site launching today called Appify, that is all about local apps - your local apps. 

Appify is about getting those local apps discovered, and used, by everyone in your community.  It's about learning exactly what the people around you want from those apps to make their communities work better.  And it's about seeing what other areas have in the way of local and civic apps that your own area could benefit from having, too.

The site is launching today in a "developers' alpha". We're looking for EVERYONE who has built a local app, on any platform, to come to the site, input their app (takes 30 seconds) check out the site, and give us feedback.

Once we have everyone in the system, we'll open it up to the general public and let the party begin.

Please:

• add your local app now if you have one (any platform)
• tell your friends with local apps to add theirs
• forward this to groups/lists that are relevant, if we haven't posted there
• Tweet about Appify, post to Facebook, blog it, etc - help us get word out.
