| Facing
Challenges and Winning: Five Gov 2.0 Examples |
| Free
O'Reilly Gov 2.0 Online Conference, Winter 2009 |
Government
2.0 is about bringing the principles of the web as a platform to the
business of governing. Lots of people are talking about it. Who's doing
it?
The
O'Reilly Gov 2.0 Online Conference is a FREE, half-day event that will
show off five examples of Web 2.0 creating greater collaboration,
transparency, and efficiencies in government - from solving a budget
crisis in the Golden State to improving the flow of information between
state government and the media; from streamlining mass transit to
augmenting how we understand and assist the global community.
This
free interactive event will take the five Gov 2.0 Expo Showcase
winners' presentations you saw in September to a deeper level, and give
you a chance to interact with them.

How An
Online Conference Works
On
December 10, you'll log on and attend sessions by viewing slides and
listening to the speaker's presentation. You'll be able to pose
questions and interact with people from all over the world using live
text chat. The structure is similar to that of a physical conference,
but no travel is necessary. All you need is your computer.
We
hope you will join us online.
