Subject: Open Data Ireland, meetup #2

Hi,

I've updated a suggestion for my talk at the next OD Ireland meetup to '*Linked
Open Data – A look at the tools & technologies available*'. Let me know if
this is something that you would be interested in, and if so, what
particular aspects would you like me to focus on?

Cheers,
Deirdre

Hi Deirdre,

I'm certainly interested in hearing about that.  I would be particularly
interested in hearing about or seeing practical examples of how Linked Open
Data has been put to use e.g. real world SPARQL queries across multiple
datasets to answer real-world questions/problems.

Regards,

Dominic.

Hi all,

There was a discussion at the end of the first meetup about topics and
formats for future meetups.

I am particularly keen on having some time provided at each meetup for
groups of people who have an interest in particular topics to sit down
together and discuss those topics and come up with practical actions.

Is this something that anyone else is interested in?  It doesn't need to be
very structured - just loose gatherings around topics with people free to
move between topics as they wish.

Topics that I am particularly interested in are -

* Creating Apps/Services with Open Data for the benefit of the wider
Community

* Crowdsourcing Open Data

Regards,

Dominic
