Hello to all,
a) FYI, here is the recording of the interview I announced on March 6, which took place yesterday evening in Italy:
This is in Italian, and running over 1 hour it is a bit long to summarize...anyway and features also to characters (Mauro the T-Rex and Jennifer the Reindeer) who are part of our outreach team.
b) Concerning the type of information provided, please note that we avoided diving too much in technical aspects (such as presenting specific packages). The focus was more to introduce the ODD, provide examples of Open Data portals at various administration levels, and discussing of the presence of ODD impacts daily life, business, and policy.
Since Geographic Information Systems are my main area of experience, examples were more tending to the geo-side of ODD, but I made an exercise to mention a broader spectrum.
c) Kudos to Lorena Lopez from Región Xalapa, Mexico, Augusto Hermann from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and and Giuseppe Cusnaghi from Bologna, Italy for providing input prior to the event...we used some of this. I noted just now that there were a couple more summaries published over the past couple of days but for some reason I was not able to "detect" them before the interview.
d) The interview was part of a series of monthly shows that we started in January, and that the topics of the various shows are often interconnected (due to the interdisciplinary character of our work), so we already have "windows" to mention more Open Data stories in April (probably 18 or 19) and likely also May and June. Should anybody have outstanding cases to propose, we will be glad to hear about them and report them in the next episodes.
Thank you for your attention, and best regards!
