迅速成长的 Linux 取得了第三的位子，第一次超越了 IBM 的大型机操作系统 z/OS。Linux
的销售额从2004的43亿美元，提升到2005年的53亿美元；与此同期，z/OS 的销售额从57亿美元下降到48亿美元。
