I'm not the one to brag, but I must say, thanks to the Ironwill Foundation (http://www.ironwillfoundation.org/) I'm one dish away from becoming a Master Chef. I recently received a diploma certificate for completing a FREE 6-week (hands-on) Health and Nutrition course. How cool is that! :-) And get this, they traveled from New York to Newark to conduct this wellness program. They even provided a course manual and the food used to prepare some "yummy to the tummy" meals. We met once a week, 5;00pm to 7:00pm for six weeks. This was made possible by the Ironwill Foundation partnering up with La Casa de Don Pedro. I learned that they even have programs for youth and young adults. They're also looking to work with others throughout New Jersey. If you know of anyone who could benefit from a program like this, especially low income communities, please pass this email along.
The six weeks went something like this:
