Hi all,

I'm using BRITE with the patch that generates an topology on a .ned
file.
I did successfuly generated a .ned file but now i want to use it as
the underlay layer of my network with Oversim using an overlay that i
coded. What i really didn't get is how i should use the BRITE .ned
file? I already read many documents on omnet++ but couldn't find the
answer myself. Anyone can recommend me something to read or explain to
me what i shall do next in order to solve this?

So, rephrasing it "What should i do with the .net file generated by
BRITE in order to have it be my underlay on Oversim?". Or, "What
should i do with the .net file generated by BRITE?" and I try to
figure it out the rest... ;D

Thanks in advance,
John Holiver

Depending on the exact structure of your topology, an approach would be to
try to use the created .ned file the same way the InetUnderlay.ned file is
used by OverSim ... To this end, you can use BRITE (+patch) to create a
topology that will be "InetUnderlay-compliant" (i.e. will have the same
structure/naming) so that the network configurator can act directly on it,
or you can use your own configurator tailored for the produced topology.

Best,
Konstantinos

Hi,

work is currently done at our institute of integrate the topology
generator ReaSE with OverSim. I will mail to the list when there is a
useable version, but probably not within the next weeks but rather 2-3
month.

We will aim at integrating the changes into ReaSE (if any required) and
OverSim releases.

Regards,
Chris
