Hey,

i want to use the current version of inetmanet from https://github.com/inetmanet/inetmanet
with the new OMNet++ release 4.2. When building inetmanet it crashes
at about 50% progress with the folling error:

C:\omnetpp-4.2\msys\bin\make.exe: *** couldn't commit memory for
cygwin heap, Win32 error 0
make: *** [all] Error 1

I'm using Win7 64bit.

Can anybody tell me whats wrong?

Another question: What's the difference between inetmanet from
https://github.com/inetmanet/inetmanet and https://github.com/aarizaq/inetmanet-2.0
?

Many thanks,
Konstantin

 I generated a new inetmanet project and copy all other files from original place to here. All the errors have been removed but at the time of network generation i got this

 "Error in module (cCompoundModule) HandoverNetworkCluster (id=1) during network setup: Class "ChannelControl" not found -- perhaps its code was not linked in, or the class wasn't registered with Register_Class(), or in the case of modules and channels, with Define_Module()/Define_Channel()"

Kindly suggest me. thank you

No need to type any command, just install a fresh copy of inetmanet-2.0 using IDE. build the project. Now you will get some errors. open the RSVPPacket.h file...  write anything there and don't forget to delete them. means simple change the date of file. again build the project. Now surely it will work...

   1 more thing for you, delete all the contents related to inetmanet, install a fresh copy of omnet++ v 4.2 ( sometimes both versions be overlap). make sure that simple examples of omnet working correctly. now import inetmanet framework using IDE .

Still getting the same error as Naveen RVSPPacket_m.h missing when
building project, did anyone solve this issue? is the file missing
from the Github repo?

I'll really appreciate all the help you can provide me, not working
with WiMax but working with MANET routing and can't execute any
example due to building incomplete

Thank you!

@Jose :

you need to refer to the directory of RSVPPacket.msg using MINGW32 and
write this command :

$ opp_msgc RSVPPacket.msg

it will solve this problem .
after that you have to rebuild the project ...

Hi, i've just installed inetmanet. I downloaded it by this link https://github.com/downloads/inetmanet/inetmanet/inetmanet-20101013-src.tgz. But now i get the same errors like you :

1. "#include <platdep/sockets.h> must precede <omnetpp.h> (and <platdep/timeutil.h> if present)"
2. make: *** [all] Error 2
3. make[1]: *** [../out/gcc-debug/src/linklayer/ext/cSocketRTScheduler.o] Error 1

I reinstalled inetmanet following these steps: OMNET++ 4.2 --> File --> Import --> General --> existing projects into Workspace.
Please help me :( Git protocols also gave me errors too :(
Ps: should i try OMNET 4.1 with this version of inetmanet ?

use inetmanet 2.0 framework, under the current version omnet 4.2 , you have to import inetmanet 2.0 using git...  steps are as follows
 file-> import-> git->projects from git.....

after performing all steps, rebuild the project...  if still errors exist , mail me....

This is a know bug that will be fixed in omnet 4.2.1 until the just touch the RVSPPacket.msg (i.e. edit it and save back to the disc) and build the project again. It will build ok the second time.

as naveen said , the package inetmanet-2.0 is more stable than
inetmanet , delete inetmanet (with its files) and try inetmanet-2.0 ..

you can get inetmanet-2.0 from : git://github.com/aarizaq/inetmanet-2.0.git ..

use http as a protocol ....

i used it and succeed to build it , the RSVPPacket.msg still exist but
you can solve it by the latest command I had referred to .

I'm using Omnet++4.2 under Win7 64-bit...

Don't forget to install WinPcaP first again ...

Dear Nael,

Tried your way 4 times now and still getting the same error working on
Omnetpp 4.2 in Win 7 x64

Can you zip your entire omnetpp with the inetmanet 2.0 build and send
that to me, I'm beggining to work on my thesis for Manetrouting and
really need the inetmanet up and running. I'll really appreciate your
help on the matter.

Thanks in advance for all your support,

Cheers

Jose Carlos

it's more than 1 GB !!!!!!!!

listen , do as follows :

1 : extract the zipped omnetpp file (which you downloaded from
omnetpp.org) directly into your C drive and build the simulator as
usual .

2 : bring inetmanet-2.0 as naveen and i said before and build it , the
RSVPPacket.msg problem still exist but you can solve it as follows :

- from mingw32 cd into "git"
- then cd into "inetmanet-2.0"
- then cd into "src"
- then cd into "networklayer"
- then cd into "rsvp_te"
- then write this command : opp_msgc RSVPPacket.msg

3: rebuild the project without cleaning it ....

that's what i did and worked for me >>

no all the examples generate log or vec files, it's possible that you will need to modify the source code
