OMNET++4.2.1

I have installed omnet 4.2.1 succefuly in window 7. I can run the
example in sample directory but when i run omnetpp the OMNET IDE does
not come up.

Any crash log, dialogs, error messages? It is hard to say anything without some extra information.

I have the same problem with Anthony's.
But I was in the Ubuntu 10.04, and on the vmware of AMD CPU with Win7.

In terminal I enter the command "omnetpp", the following message come
up:
Starting the OMNeT++ IDE...
Actually the ide is not started.

I also have no idea where i can find the error messages, such the logs
and dialogs.
But I try to check the following log files:
1. $HOME/ide/error.log
there is some else error info, not about the ide.
2. $HOME/ide/configuration
*.log is also some else error info, not relate to the ide.

The ide error logs are inside the IDE directory.

Could you please dlete those log files, try to start the ide and the send the log files so I can take a look?
