Veins - Vehicles in Network Simulation

Hello All,
Am taking my thesis on implementing a routing algorithm in vehicular
networks. Veins has been suggested to me. Where do i start from and
where do i get detailed tutorials to start with, since am new on both
Omnet++ , and Sumo as well.

Tutorial on how to start with veins can be found at veins.car2x.org/
tutorial/

You should first study OMNeT ++ 4.2 User Guide and then OMNET++ User
Manual to start with omnet ++. Both these documents are provided in
doc directory of the package which u can dorwnload from www.omnetpp.org

For sumo refer to sumo wiki.

How can I set up different Network simulation in Omnet++ to test the data communication speed ? could u suggest me samples/examples for the same and from where do I get it?
