Hi All,

A while ago I worked out a simple Omeka plugin that creates a flash
video wrapper using Jw FLV Media Player (http://www.longtailvideo.com/
players/jw-flv-player/). Something similar was hard-coded into the
OKAPI package for 0.9, and I've been interested in breaking those
features into smaller plugins that can be used separately.

This is a half-baked plugin and probably isn't ready for heavy use,
but I was wondering if others were interested in testing it out and
maybe making some suggestions. At this point, the dimensions of the
video player are pre-defined in the plugin and it lacks a lot of
configuration. It plays video back well, but there MAY be a problem
with audio? I'm not sure if the FLV file I'm testing with has audio,
so I'm unsure if that's working. Maybe someone else can run with this
and enhance its barebones functionality.

I've attached it to the Google Group for you to check out:
http://groups.google.com/group/omeka-dev/web/JwPlayer.zip

Give it a try and let me know what you think.

Cheers,
Dave

Hi Dave,

Great plugin !!!
One thing that I noticed is while the video is playing if I scrolled the page even a little bit, the player would disappear and it would be shown as a blank white space. But I can still hear the audio and if I right click on the white space I would get the right click menu of the WMP.

Thanks,
Dhanushka.

That's strange. Is anyone else having this problem? Dhanushka, what
browser are you using?

Has anyone else been testing out this plugin and also had this
problem? Could you attach an FLV file to this google group so that we
could all test using hte same file? It'd be great to see a stable
version of this plugin released and in the wild.

Thanks,
Dave
