Am having trouble posting hyperlinks. Able to see them on my public
site but am unable to click on them. I am using omeka version .10.

Can you provide a link to your site, so we can see what's happening?

Sorry about that, probably should have done that in the first post.

ashestrorubble.dreamshosters.com

Thanks again for getting back to me, has been bugging me for awhile.

This address doesn't seem to work. All I get is a dreamhosters landing
page, not an Omeka installation. Is the address correct?

Thanks,
Jeremy

This is what I get for typing and not copying and pasting. I am very
sorry for taking up so much of your time and thank you for you help so
far.

Thanks Nick. I just looked at the site, and all the links you have on
your site's pages seem to be working. I click on various links on the
homepage, the items/browse page, and your collections page. If there's
a specific page where the links aren't working, please let us know
which one it is. If its browser-specific, please let us know which
browser you're using. I checked this on Firefox 3.0.11, Safari 4.0.1,
and Opera 9.64.

I am using Firefox 3.0.11. The ones I am having trouble with are ones
that exist in my exhibit section. One example is in my section on the
Chicago Fire/Web of Memory Site (http://ashestorubble.dreamhosters.com/
exhibits/show/webography/urbanconflagrations). I think what is
happening is for some reason the link is not saved when I insert it
during the editing process, but do not know why. I have some security
software specific to Firefox (No Scripts, Ad Blocker, Cookie Blocker),
but I list the site as being totally allowed through these.

Thanks Nick. This is weird indeed. Its added the anchor tag to the
code, but not adding a href attribute.

I assume you're using the link button in the WYSIWYG editor to insert
the link. Are you correctly adding the URL to the window that comes up
once you click the link button? If you don't see that window, you may
have to turn off any popup blockers, since TinyMCE brings the link
form in a new window. (I'll see if there's a way around this.) I just
added links on the exhibit description, the section description, and
the text for the page, and couldn't reproduce the error.

Best,
Jeremy

Yes, I am using the editor link input. I am able to get to the pop up
screen and insert the hyperlink. It does not seem to save the data I
put in after I insert it though.

My guess is that you've activated the HtmlPurifier plugin, which by
default filters out links. Try deactivating the plugin and see if
you're able to save links.

I'd suggest upgrading your installation of Omeka from 0.10 to 1.0.
There are instructions here on the codex: http://omeka.org/codex/Upgrading
