Kind of a work in progress, but this week I've been messing with the idea of taking public domain photos from Flickr and feeding them into 123d Catch in order to make models.  Taking about 20 photos of Michelangelo's David resulted in this:

Same.  And I have a login, but then I get a "you do not have permission..." screen.

I tried 123D Catch a few months ago - took about 50 pictures.  I got a "reasonable" 3D shape in their program, but I could not export it or convert it into anything usable.  You might recall some email traffic on the list from me, specifically trying to resolve this.

So I give it a B+ for making fun things to look at, and a D- for actually being functional.  IMHO, anyway.

I tried a while back, but I thought that recently they added better export type stuff.  Making it more feature complete.  Could be way off though.
