who to talk to about 3d printers

Hello all.

This is just an initial post looking for people knowledgeable with the 3d printers at your space or in general.

I am part of a group in lincoln that is looking to buy and assemble a 3d printer in the near future.  We all agree that the info out there is pretty overwhelming as none of us have any practical experience 3d printers to date.

We would love if any of you would be willing to lend some direction or just relate your experiences.  

Right now it would be nice to know who I should direct my attention.  Ultimately we would love to treat up to a few people from your group willing to drive down to lincoln to dinner and drinks in the "haymarket" area of lincoln in exchange for letting us pick your brains.

Of course this could all be done virtually or I could talk to our guys and see about a possible trip up to omaha.

Let me know your thoughts and level of interest.

I am a Lincoln-ite, and a maker-lurker,  and not connected to any makers here.  Unforgettably I have no experiences with 3d printers.

I'd just ask you keep me in mind as an interested party if Lincoln maker-space discussion start.
