We will host our first "Code Dojo" tonight at the OK.rb meeting. The meeting is at 6:30 PM at Edmond Public Library.
We're all going to work to together to solve the same programming challenge. We will elect someone to type for us, but we will discuss how to approach the problem and what to write as a group. I hope it will be a great learning experience for all of us.
We have a couple of different problems we could work with, but I think Alan Baird is bringing my favorite. He has a simple Battleship game server that communicates with player programs via a trivial CGI-like protocol. We would try to develop a player strategy capable of beating the "stupid" examples provided with the server.
So it's all fun and games at the OK.rb meeting tonight, until someone sinks a battleship. Don't miss it!
