Lets have a tiny bit of accuracy here.

Jesus was a Jew and never claimed to be anything else. In fact he
stated emphatically that he had not come to change the "law",
referring to the Jewish Religious Law.

The event and your response explain perfectly what's wrong politics and
political restrictions on freedom: it creates false dichotomies and
causes strife and wars among people. Take the power away from
politicians and bureaucrats, and people will find it easier to solve
their problems without violence and bloodshed.
