JAVA/CF Developer - Full Time Opportunity

DTN is seeking an experienced and progressive thinking Web Application Developer to join our exciting technology team. This is a full time opportunity for a developer to create and help maintain existing products using various Web technologies in the ColdFusion and Java environment.  The candidate will provide technical leadership in the improvement of existing products as well as the creation and design of new products.  DTN offers an exciting development environment where creativity is strongly encouraged and flexibility is highly rewarded. 

 QUALIFICATIONS:

·         5+ years design and development experience of web applications using JAVA or Cold Fusion technologies.

·         Experience using ColdFusion is strongly desired, and will be required for some projects.

·         Experience with database design, optimization, and Structured Query Language (SQL) required.

·         Experience implementing MVC and object-oriented design patterns.

·         Proven skills in HTML, CSS, DHTML, and Javascript required.

·         Experience using a mainstream Javascript library desired, especially in implementing AJAX techniques.

·         Skilled in analyzing product requirements and designing solutions accordingly.

·         Ability to work both independently, and in a team, to achieve design and delivery goals is a must.

·         Experience creating prototype applications and demonstrating them in order to help validate design ideas.

·         Proven experience in user-interface design and implementation for web-based solutions.

·         Proficient understanding of Source Code Management systems.  

·         Experience writing unit tests is a plus.

·         Familiarity with the Agricultural Industry is a plus.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
