Opportunity: MACH Energy, a small and growing energy management
software company is seeking an individual with excellent application
development skills to join its development team. In its 8th year of
operation, MACH Energy is recognized as the premier energy management
software company serving the commercial real estate market. MACH
currently serves many marquee commercial real estate customers across
the United States. The Application Developer will be responsible for
delivering enterprise energy management tools for internal and
external use. The applications are for the large commercial real
estate market with a focus on customer electricity usage.
A successful candidate will be a detail minded self-starter that
enjoys the challenge of a fast moving, dynamic workplace and can
immediately contribute to the development team leveraging their
related and relevant industry experience in software development and
implementation. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written
communication skills are a must, with good command of English language
required.
This position will report to the Director, Software Development.
Experience: A degree in Computer Science or similar area of study,
with at least five years of relevant work experience, is required. A
graduate degree in a related field is a strong plus. The candidate
must demonstrate experience in developing large-scale enterprise
applications.
The candidate must be able to express familiarity and proficiency in
Java programming language as well as experience in J2EE including
EJB. Understanding and experience with JBOSS AS, Wicket or similar
web framework, JPA and Java EE 5 is strongly preferred. Managing
remote Linux/UNIX and Windows systems is required.
Additional desired skills include experience in building and managing
large databases in SQL, including writing optimized SQL queries.
Specific experience in developing for or managing clustered
environments an additional strong plus.
Location: The Company is based San Francisco CA but does operate in a
largely virtual manner. Periodic travel (2-3 times per year) to the
SF Bay Area is required. Initial training and work assignment may
require the successful candidate to be located on the west coast for
several days each week. After successful training, the candidate will
be able to work remotely.
