At Rockfish, our Technical Strategy Architects (TSA) bridge the gap between technical and non-technical clients and colleagues. They bring deep understanding of and experience in implementing robust technology solutions. The TSA leads technical sales, scopes solutions, facilitates development estimates and helps shape the business, functional and technical requirements.


Responsibilities:
• Engage with clients and client services team members to determine appropriate technology solutions to business problems.
• Facilitate the production of detailed development estimates- scope and budget. Take lead on technical scope and partner with/ engage other Rockfish experts as needed to deliver the technical specifications.
• Apply innovative thinking grounded in a deep knowledge of current development techniques and industry trends on behalf of our clients.
• Facilitate the production of business, technical, and functional requirements.
• Engage with the project management team to determine project deliverables, milestones, and timelines.
• Engage with the technology teams to deliver technology solutions.
• Collaborate with technical Directors and team leads to determine capacity and availability of appropriately skilled developers.
• Heavy client facing responsibilities including evangelizing Rockfish technology.


Requirements:
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience as a software developer/software engineer
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle
• Strong understanding of web development technologies
• Strong understanding of mobile technologies
• Strong understanding of project management principles (Agile experience a plus)
• Experience constructing technical estimates and scopes of work
• Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to make highly technical solutions accessible and understandable to those who do not have in depth technical understanding.
• Ability to influence others through the use of a consultative style of selling
• Flexible and adaptable; able to manage shifting priorities as projects evolve
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
