Personal Journal from 87th Ohio

I have scanned a family members journal he kept during his service starting with them riding flat cars from Ohio, thought Virgina (now WV) and to the end of service. I am trying to find the original my grandfather had but am having a hard tie finding it. If I do, where should we send it for safekeeping. Are there museums that might want it?

I expect that both the Ohio Historical Society in Columbus and the Ohio Genealogical Society in Bellville (near Mansfield) would be very interested in the journal. You can contact OHS through their website at http://www.ohiohistory.org/about-us/contact/donate , and for OGS, I would suggest you contact Tom Neel, the library director, at tn...@ogs.org . Even if you do not find the original, both might be interested in a copy of your scanned images.
