Easy Money: Create super basic .NET website

Create a link sharing, members only, web site.

Note: This is a very simple job but it needs to be completed within
the next 24hrs. I will pay 120$.

A. There should be eight tabbed pages in the members area categorized
as follows. Tab 1 = Artificial Intelligence Tab 2 = Mobile Computing
Tab 3 = Robotics Tab 4 = The Singularity Tab 5 = Programming Tab 6 =
Software Watch Tab 7 = Hacks & Mods Tab 8 = Gadget Hunter

B. Members should be able to view, add, edit, and delete links under
each category.

C. At least 2 of the following .net controls must be used: gridview,
detailsview, formview, repeater, datalist.

D. The site should be password protected, allow new users to sign up,
provide a full navigation system, use a Master page, and usercontrols.

All other details are left to developers discretion.

Take job and be paid through Elance.com (search "super basic .NET
website").

Perhaps look at using a framework that already handles users, tabs,
content management and such which would allow you to create pages
yourself. Drupal is good. DotNetNuke is great and runs under Dot Net.
You can find online companies that will host the framework for you.

DotNetNuke allows you to greate custom modules to extend the base
functionality if you need something that is not available out of the
box. Many free modules are available.

I said that because it does not seem worth $120 to build a website with forums & member type authentication within a 24 hour window. Don't get me wrong, I'm no web building wiz, that's not my background. I have created a few simple websites and from what I know $120 and a 24 hour window is in no way worth the effort for the task at hand.

Haha, I got it with Ajax and some other extras for 200$. Should be done in the next 6hrs. I was starting to get worried. I posted something similar that needed to be written in php and I got like 6 offers in the first hour. Makes me think a lot more people are working in php than .net these days.

That or there are more unemployed PHP programmers out there :-)

Sounds like an interesting site. Please post the URL so I can check it
out when you have it up and going.

Thanks
