Sorr to mention that the season is about over but trying to think ahead.  I've a couple of questions/notes:

1. Jerry Wiedemann - do you need time & mileage spent monitoring submitted to you?  and to what email address?

2.  Dave Parshall sent a reminder to be sure to remit (email) good finds and possible records to him.  His email is listed in the newsletter or you may request it via this blog so he can respond individually.

3.  Dr. David Horn is speaking at the Toledo Naturalists Assoc in November at the annual banquet, Toledo Zoo location.  Be sure to reserve your spot.

...and anyone interested in looking for purplish coppers at Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge in the next couple of weeks?  The record from last year was 10/19.  Bronze coppers are in high numbers and the area to cover is quite large

And I've still got a green monarch chrysalis hanging from a common milkweed in the waystation but I don't know how much longer it can stay like that.  Its been there for 2.5 wks now.  There are frost warnings for Sunday morning in the Toledo area so I may bring it inside tomorrow pm and hope it emerges for next week's 70 degree temps.  I
