Hi guys!

First, sorry for being off topic since this isn't related to Ruby per say...

We'll be having a meetup later this month (http://www.meetup.com/Ottawa-Gatineau-Erlang-Meetup-Group/events/90778732/) to talk about the Erlang programming language. The goal is to raise interest towards Erlang by connecting people who might be curious about it with people who have actually used it in production.

The reason why I'm posting this in the Ottawa Ruby group is that - having used Ruby myself :) - I think something both languages share is how they enable problem solving to be done "differently" (i.e. from the norm). So, I figured since I enjoy working with both maybe other fellow Ruby programmers would be interested into learning more about it.

At the meetup we'll have introductory talks about the language and also accounts of hands on experience related to introducing Erlang as a new technology in a company.

Sorry again for the intrusion...

Cheers,
Francis

For those of us who do not have a meetup.com account, and don't want one,
could you clue us in on the location?

Cheers,
Mike

Hi,

Sorry for the delayed response... It will be at The Works in Westboro.

Since places are limited a tool like meetup.com helps when tracking the number of attendees.

Thanks,
Francis
