Hey all,

If anyone is interested in a position in Mountain View / Sunnyvale, California, take a look at the request below.

They're looking for full-stack Rails developers. These are full-time positions.

Applications can be sent to Dane Santos at da...@outright.com.

Enjoy,
Mike

P.S. I didn't realize that this was from a recruiter before I offered to pass this on to the list. Sorry. Please let me know if you guys don't want to get emails from recruiters and I'll be more careful from now on.

---- Snip ----

Hi,

We are a 35 person startup that's part of a Billion dollar pre-IPO Web Company!

We are hiring Web Developers (Full stack -Ruby on Rails). We offer top pay, world class benefits and too many perks to list.

Our offices are located in beautiful  Mountain View/Sunnyvale, California.

This is a truly wonderful opportunity to join an elite team of Rails engineers in a small but fast growing startup where your opinion matters. Develop World class products for a market leader. We are poised to grow our user base tenfold and we must hire to support that growth - NOW.

We encourage Web developers that are expert in Ruby on Rails web applications development and can demonstrate the ability to work in an Agile, MVC, TDD environment that supports pair programming to apply. You must be willing and able to learn new technology quickly.

Work on everything from infrastructure to web applications, front to back - you will touch every layer of the tech stack.

Our tech stack includes: Ruby on Rails, Ruby, jRuby, jQuery, backbone.js, node.js, javascript,  mysql, haml, saas, redis, mahout, resque, mongodb, mongomapper, mongoid, ngnix, RSpec, Cucumbr, Thrift, Chef...more

We will fly candidates in for the onsite interviews after passing a phone interview and the “pair programming” code exercise.

Working onsite in our San Francisco bay area office is preferred. Telecommute, Relocation and Sponsorship is possible for truly impressive candidates.

Share this with anyone qualified.  Qualified candidates will receive a reply within 24-48hrs.

Haha, yeah, fair enough.

It's only one vote so far, but unless I hear multiple +1's, I'll assume people don't want recruiter spam.

Sorry everyone. I only posted this one because I had already offered to do so. Should've noticed it was a recruiter sooner. :/

I'll be more careful from now on.

Thanks,
Mike

I like seeing job postings, especially the local ones.  I wouldn't like to see dozens a week, but the occasional one is kind of interesting.

Cheers, Peter.

+1 local = Canada (I'm in Montreal and was in Ottawa before and continue to go to Ottawa often)
-1 anywhere else (including the US, none of those please)

How about a curated email of job openings once a week. Unsolicited mail would be nuked with a polite "please don't post unsolicited job postings to the list. We compile requests for these notices and publish them all at once every monday morning"

I'd be willing to take on this task.

Could be overkill as the volume is currently low but my offer stands.

Sent from my mobile device.

Cool, local / nearby recruiting sounds good.

We'll play the "anywhere in Canada" one by ear. I don't recall seeing any too far away so far anyway.

Geoff: A curated list would be great, thanks! The one thing with having it once a week though, is that sometimes the timing of an application can be important. So being notified more often than once a week may be necessary.

But, yeah, the volume is currently low. :/

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

Mike
