Dear Greenways Commission members,
The next meeting will take place on Monday, June 21 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. *It will be back in Town Hall, Room 110 (Board Room).
Please take note of the attachments:

· Update on Safe Routes to School initiatives in Carrboro
· Update on implementation timelines
Note that Randy will be unable to attend this meeting, so if you anticipate having environmental planning-related questions about any of the agenda items, you may want to contact him in advance.
Message from the Chair:
Please be sure to review the Bolin Creek plan and bring their notes - particular from Ch4 (Proposed Design), or go directly to Ch5 (Implementation)..

Also there will be a formal presentation from the “Save Bolin Creek” group and there is a request from a groups of individuals who have prepared a formal presentation. The second group could not come back in July so they will be signed up to speak individually if they are not allow to give a formal presentation at this meeting. Since a formal request was not presented at the last meeting and considering their constraints I will present it for a vote at this meeting.
Staff has put together a public comment policy that we will review, ratify and have to follow moving forward.
Finally, please remember my assignment at the last meeting. I requested that you submit to me your three top concerns, issues or fears concerning three separate things: (1) how the commission was/is conducting itself; (2) the Bolin Creek plan – in particular parts 3 & 4 and (3) Carrboro’s greenway plans in general. I will take your suggestions on how these can be address or improved. Please send these directly to me (individually – please don’t copy others in an email) to keep them personal and so I can review your thoughts and help move the commission forward.
