[odspfireside: 27902 ] Posts being withheld - WHY?

I guess it is again time to send out the Posting Reminder Notes.
There are a definite number of reasons why posts are not circulated.
Top of the list for posts being rejected is leaving TOO much of the
previous post(s) in your reply. This is followed up by inappropriate
language use. Maggie, Angela and I all realize the frustration that
can build when dealing with ODSP as we also must deal with them. We
also realize that frustration must come out somehow but from this
group's inception it has never been conceived as a place to get rid of
that frustration via inappropriate language skills whether the words
were spelled out properly or inferred with camouflage characters.

There are a few other reasons why posts will be rejected and they
should all be spelled out in the Important Posting Notes Thread on the
first page of the Discussions page for the group and on the Important
Posting Notes Page for the group.

Google has a feature that is supposed to attach a note to the message
rejection notification email. I am not sure if this feature actually
works properly and this can compound confusion about post rejection
rather than minimizing it. I will be returning to sending out
personal emails directly to the poster for rejected posts. I am
hoping this will help minimize some of the misconceptions around post
rejections.

If you have a post rejected and truly believe it was rejected in error
I wish to again remind all to forward a copy of the rejected message
along with any message you received from us and Maggie and I will
review the post again. If the rejection was in error we will notify
you and work with you to ensure the post goes through.

Finally, Please take the time to actually read the posting notes
before crying foul. There is NO censorship practiced on this group
while prudent legal management may be practiced for the protection of
the poster.
