I am starting to get very frustrated. I have tried replying to a
thread that I started in this group via e-mail twice and it's not
getting to the rest of the list. It's very important for me to get the
info I requested and the e-mail I sent helped clarify what I'd
originally mentioned in order to get more answers.

Am I doing something wrong or does it take five days to get past
moderation? I am not asking that to be rude, I am serious. This has
happened in the past with no rhyme or reason and I can't understand
why.

Important Notice on email use for responding to posts or creating new
posts.

If you have more than one email account you MUST ensure that the email
account you use to submit a post is the one you are registered with.
If you accidentally use another email account to send in a post it may
just vaporize, my server does send me a notice that the email was not
accepted.

gmail does not send you a copy of your own posts.
I don't know why.
would be nice if they did. so you know it got to the group.
go to the groups home page and you can look at older posts and see if your messages are there..

I had one post that disappeared in cyberspace too ("Wednesday morning"
was the title) and I sent an e-mail to the moderators asking them
about it, but no response yet. I can't think of any reason why it
would have been banned from being posted, everything was backed up and
as far as I know, it didn't violate the rules. I'm sure it posted from
this address too. It's the only incident I've had here so far,
thankfully. All other posts I've made have come through.

Most of my posts seem to get through within a day.

Malcolm and Maggie do a bang up job managing this group. Most posts
go through within an hour. Thanks Malcolm - I wish I could meet you
guys. Take a moment to thank them for their work on this group.

Marc,
This list is moderated 2 -3 or more times a day to ensure
messages that are approved get through to people quickly.
Has your message been rejected for any reason, or are you
just not seeing your messages on the list?

Somebody was saying something about gmail being a bit
peculiar where your messages DO get to the list, but the
sender on a gmail account does not receive a copy.  You
may want to check this, and if this appears to be the case,
you may want to send a message to the list and always copy
yourself at your gmail address.

As I explained since this is a google group, any mail sent via gmail will not send you a copy of the mail you send to the group but other members do get it.
