Hello everybody!
I'm just voting for this question, because it's also very interesting for me.

Thanks
Mikhail

Hi,

in older posts of this forum I have read that there have been discussions about integrating SMesh (from Salome) into OCE. Is there any progress or could anyone tell me what should be the easiest way to create a FE mesh in OCE? Does anyone have experience with nglib?

Thank you very much!

Finally I have chosen to use netgen 5.0.0 (http://sourceforge.net/
projects/netgen-mesher/). With some minor changes it is possible to
create FE meshes from OpenCascade geometry (see
http://sourceforge.net/projects/netgen-mesher/forums/forum/905307/topic/7977174).

Thanks a lot! It's great and very useful.
I just have a question - have you ever tried to combine OCC geometry with Gmsh mesher?

No, I haven't. To be honest I haven't even been fully aware of Gmsh.
But now that I have looked at it, it seems to be no alternative for me
since its GPL (netgen is LGPL) licensed and I am working for a
commercial project.
