Breakfast for Schmucks (Fight for Philly) 140 South Broad Street. We just learned that Mitt Romney, Pat Toomey, and Tom Corbett are all planning to be in the City of Brotherly Love tomorrow morning for a garish breakfast fundraiser at the Union League (140 S. Broad). After we shut down Corbett's event at the Art Museum last night (and blockaded his SUVs inside for at least a half-hour), you'd think these clowns would have learned to stay out of Philly! At 8am, join Fight For Philly and our community allies for a fun last-minute protest, featuring the street-theatre world premiere of "BREAKFAST FOR SCHMUCKS"! Greed is on the menu! Bon appetit! https://www.facebook.com/events/186729434795147/

CALL TO ACTION: A Sunrise Intervention at the Shale Gas Insight Convention
Join us early Friday morning as we nonviolently confront the fracking industry’s Shale Gas Insight keynote — Range Resources’ John Pinkerton — and all his short-sighted colleagues in their plans to make our climate un-liveable, our air un-breathable, and our water un-drinkable. The shale gas industry has gone too far. It gags our physicians; forces impacted people to sign non-disclosure clauses — building the toxic silence that surrounds every family badly hurt by this industry — and exempts itself from our protective laws. Range Resources is an independent oil and gas exploration and production company based in Texas, which has poisoned waterways, coerced land owners and destroyed communities throughout the Marcellus Shale in Pennsylvania. IT’S TIME TO INTERVENE! Gather outside Friends Center, 1501 Cherry Street at 6:45am, Friday September 21st Bring Banners, signs, noise-makers, friends & family!
