Editorial meeting Wednesday evening, General meeting Thursday evening

All hands on deck! I'm calling an Editorial meeting Wednesday at 8pm and a
general meeting Thursday at 6pm, both on Google Hangout. I hope many of you
will attend both or at least one.
It is of course essential that we plan Episode #6 on Wednesday, but also
there are lots of serious things to discuss outside the scope of planning
any one show. Our working procedures have become sloppy, haphazard,
inefficient, and leaving the workload unfairly distributed. We need to talk
about how to fix this. Also, both James and Leia will soon be back in school
and have to cut back on their contributions to the group. We have a number
of people in the wings who said they'd be unavailable in the summer, but
have time come September, and there is a stack of contacts from our outreach
efforts at OTSs, which might be worth running through again.
Speaking of Occupy Town Square, Sunset Park is coming up Saturday; we should
be there in force, with a means of displaying the show. Our broadcast of
Episode #5, with our coverage of the Rent Strike update and the arraignment
of OTS organizer Dennis Flores will coincide with the OTS; if we could
somehow get a live TV there we could put on a real presentation, get it on
the official schedule, and do an awesome bit of outreach. Speaking of which,
our tapping into the Rent Strike may be making us inroads to adding a
Spanish-language show to our programming come winter.
If you would like to attend these meetings but the time isn't good, please
respond ASAP with your availability in detail.
If you haven't already been to one of these meetings, please RSVP with the
Gmail address you use to login to Google, and let's make sure we connect
before then. If you have never used Google Hangout, please make sure you
can, well before the meeting! Call if you need help but please don't wait
til the last minute.
