Subject: PRAYER NEEDS AND JOYS TO SHARE - OBUMC, 29 June 2008

Also Pray for..........

Faith Gorham asks prayers for......."My cousin (who is my best friend and "sister"), Wendie Jackson lives in NC and just found out she is pregnant again.  This will be her third pregnancy.  She had a kidney removed about three years ago and was told it was risky for her to have another child then.  She delivered a healthy baby in 2007 with close monitoring from her doctors.  She was diagnosed with another kidney stone in her remaining kidney that they have been watching for a few months now.  The one she had before was too big to remove and had shut down function in 80% of her kidney, which is why she lost the kidney. This pregnancy was not planned.   She is also dealing with post traumatic stress syndrome from being robbed, pistol- whipped, choked and held at gun-point a few months ago while at work.   She will probably be losing her (new) job within the next year and feels so overwhelmed and has no idea what to do.   She is afraid the doctors may say that it is too risky and she cannot carry the baby full term.   She called tonight and asked me to ask for prayers for her and her husband David and their two children.  I know God has a plan and that this baby is a blessing.  Please cover them in prayer so they can be still and feel God's presence and His strength. She has an appointment with the doctor on July 8 so I should know more then.  Wendie has been through a lot during her life and is one of the strongest gals I know.  She is 4 years younger than me and has had God by her side for many hardships.  Please pray that she feels His love and guidance once again during this time and that it quiets her heart and mind.  Thank you so much- your prayers are greatly appreciated."
