Hi folks,

I'm wondering if anyone's experimented with spitting out binary plists
from Rails for consumption by an iPhone application? You get native
serialisaton and deserialisation of all the major Cocoa/CoreFoundation
classes, which seems pretty useful. Perhaps an FFI interface to
CoreFoundation CFPropertyListWriteToStream etc.?

Cheers,

Hi Nathan,

I've not considered this, though I have seen mention of it on a stack
overflow thread:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/365868/what-is-the-best-approach-for-building-an-iphone-client-for-a-rails-app

I think it would make a good addition to ObjectiveResource alongside
the XML and JSON support. If anyone is interested in working on this
following the commits on the JSON support ticket might be useful:
http://yfactorial.lighthouseapp.com/projects/18393/tickets/5-json-support

Thanks for the suggestion Nathan, and if you would like to work on
adding this feature please let us know what we can do to help.

Josh
