Hi,

I am a cappuccino newbie and decided to try it out. (I am really
impressed with the framework and the concept!) I cloned the latest git
repo built it wil ant, set my env, and generated a test_app.
Everything worked fine until...when I try to load the index.html I get
in firebug...

[Exception... "'*** Could not locate file named "AppKit/AppKit.j" in
search paths.' when calling method:
[nsIDOMEventListener::handleEvent]" nsresult: "0x8057001c
(NS_ERROR_XPC_JS_THREW_JS_OBJECT)" location: "<unknown>" data: no]
[Break on this error] undefined
[Exception... "'*** Could not locate file named "Foundation/
CPObject.j" in search paths.' when calling method:
[nsIDOMEventListener::handleEvent]" nsresult: "0x8057001c
(NS_ERROR_XPC_JS_THREW_JS_OBJECT)" location: "<unknown>" data: no]
[Break on this error] {
Objective-J.js (line 2178)
CPObject is not defined
[Break on this error] {

I have checked permissions, symlinks and everything looks ok. What am
I missing?
I was following the video but skipped installing from the zip file.

Hi Bakki,

In Firefox, by default, local documents don't have access to all other
local documents.

Follow this procedure to develop locally in Firefox
http://wiki.github.com/280north/cappuccino/developing-locally-in-firefox-3

Hope this helps.
Thomas.

Hello Thomas,

That did it! Thank you very much for helping me. Also thank you and
other 280N developers for coming up with this brilliant idea. I
happened to be learning Cocoa for iPhone development, so with
Cappuccino I now have one learning curve across the board for RIA web
apps and iPhone. It all fits together beautifully. Keep up the great
work!

Thanks for writing this problem up. After following the video &
comments on "Build Cappuccino from the source" at Cappuccinocasts

- http://cappuccinocasts.com/2009/02/09/2-build-cappuccino-from-the-source

I ran into this simple problem. I've added a quick link to the
"cappuccinocasts" post for future reference.
