Dear users,

We are very happy to announce the first official OBI release
candidate
(RC1). The OBI "Philly release" is available at http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/obi.owl
It can also be accessed using the permanent stable URI

A strict deprecation policy is enforced: any OBI identifier that you
use to annotate your experiments
will be stable and keep the same meaning. If its meaning changes the
term will be deprecated, but its ID will be maintained.

A manuscript describing the OBI development process and the OBI
structure is
