We’re setting up a service where we need to send and receive text messages to both 021 and 027 (etc), with a shortcode. What are our options? We’ve found a few gateways we can use, but the price is higher than it seems it should be. A gateway with SOAP or similar API would be ideal, as it keeps hosting needs simple.

Yup, that was one option we’ve looked at. A lot of questions are slightly harder to answer with the international based ones like that – do they work with shortcodes, and what is the actual cost of sending and receiving.

 

Anyone got personal experience? Just if someone’s been through all the research, it could save us going down the wrong path.
