Are there any plans to import the official NZ lights and marine markers? These are administered by LINZ and the data is freely available and can be imported into OSM - http://data.linz.govt.nz/.

We have another project to import the land features here - http://linz2osm.openstreetmap.org.nz.

LINZ-2-OSM can be used for hydrographic features as well. I've used it to import the LINZ 12-mile, 24-mile and EEZ boundaries. We can set up a layer to pull directly from LINZ LDS and it can be updated later when the data changes.
