This weekend I read in the Christchurch Press that more and more
confectionery businesses are moving their production over seas to
lower costs.
Good riddance is my belief.
New Zealand's clean and green image should be strong healthy teeth and
I certainly do not wish to be associated with business tycoons that
play on peoples addictive lusts to their detriment.
OK so I bought a 5 dollar monster pack party mix yesterday it was from
New Zealand but with sugar and artificial colouring it could have come
from anywhere and been no less harmful.
New Zealand would be better off looking into improving tooth pastes if
they yearned better favour on the world consensus.

I don't like co co rushes they make me feel a pretender to my rythme.
I prefer the real joy of accomplishment. Even a simple ambition
realised outweighs a non sensical coco rush.

Or you could cut the coronary-artery-clogging saturated fats and refined
sugars, and switch to fruit snacks.

Hmm, the gain from eating fruit, is the vitamins, fibre, and the
colours, delivered with the sugars (present within the fruit).

I had a quick google and I found a suggestion that sucrose (table sugar)
is broken down to fructose and glucose. The glucose is, if the body
already has enough in the bloodstream, transformed to glycogen, which,
if the body already has enough, is transformed to fat.

Fructose OTOH is transformed directly to glycogen, or fat. (Have a look
at the High Fructose Corn Syrup debate currently raging)

The suggestion is that the fructose in fruits, then, is bad for you,
just as the sugars in a candy bar :)

May I suggest the fruit sugars from real fruit are more prone to run
right through you if not utilised effeintly due to the fact their not
encased in a slow release sticky syrup.
